A couple of good sci-fi recommended reading lists

Always on the look out for something new to read, I came across a couple of lists of recommended new sci-fi books.

At The Guardian, Lisa Tuttle has a round up of recent reviews including a book co-written by Nancy Kress and biologist Robert Lanza called Observer. Sounds intriguing.

I am a huge fan of Andrew Liptak’s Transfer Orbit newsletter. You must subscribe and support his efforts! Then you will get monthly round ups of what’s new in science fiction, fantasy, and related realms. The February list had lots of good stuff. Since reading the adventures of Matthew Looney way back when, I’ve always been enticed by a good space pirate story so The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty, due February 28th, grabbed me.

And over at Polygon, Adam Morgan’s list covers the entire year of 2023 in upcoming sci-fi and fantasy. The “time-travel puzzle” Flux by Jinwoo Chong and something new and different from Murderbot author Martha Wells called Witch King grabbed my attention.
